henki on se jolle liitto ei riitä
mutta liitto pysyy
joku kutsuu entropian yllensä
näyttääkseen missä hienompi aine vaihtuu astiakseen,
säkiksi jonka henki sitoo
ja antaa värikkään liekin ratkoa
jotta tyhjä voisi nousta siivilleen
mikä palaa, palaa aina
vaan kuka haistaa savun?
puolimielinen etsii
jotain elämää sieltä
missä vain kuolema pesii
syntyi
luuli olevansa
uneksi
vailla tarkoitusta
hullut hahmot
muotoon takertuu
paeten sitä mitä janoaa
lakkasi
olemasta
tahtoi tapahtua
kuoleman lailla
kuolema rajaa
piirtää hahmon, nimeää
herää sanoen ”minä olen”
kasvu, joka ruokkii juurensa
rikkomalla hedelmänsä
vailla ymmärrystä muusta
kuin hälystä hajoavan alla,
etsii paikkaansa kierrossa
vailla suuntaa tai laatua
peilatakseen toteavaa luojaansa
tyhjäksi itsensä kuorimalla
valitsee paikkansa
orpojen pyyteitten myllyssä
tai palaa valossa
jolle silmänsä pysyivät sokeina
takaisin virtaan
joka aarteensa hautoo välttämättömyyden painolla
suomuksi pinnalle
joka kuolevan lailla kerälle kääntyy

seeks its place in the cycle
without direction or quality
to mirror its observing maker
by carving itself hollow
chooses its place
in the mill of orphaned requests
or burns in the light
to which its eyes stayed blind
become the stream
that hatches its treasures with necessity's weight
become the scale
of skin, as if dying, coils within

ja jyvät särjetään
kasvoillaan makaamaan ojaan hautautuu
keho maallinen
hauras vaha hellittää
uomaansa palautuu, muuta ei nähnytkään
okra Jumalan
auringonpyörällä pelto aurataan
elementtien
leipä murretaan
ja kitaan heitetään
leuat ammollaan
alemman palauttaa
ja ylempi vaietaan
joskus toivoin heikkouttani
lyhyttä hetkeä juurtua pinnalle
pienenä miehenä rakentaa kirkkoni
kivelle, joka jäähtyi hetkeksi

itkin kuin tulessa tummuva lapsi
sanoit: ”älä muotoon kiinny”
soihtuna aineen valtaa vastaan
pyysin palaa loppuun asti
pakopisteen palvelija
tuijotin silmäänsä herkeämättä
kun yhteys kuoli, kieli katosi
maailman ranka kaaokseen vajosi
lymysin hiljaa kellareissa
maalasin verellä oveeni merkin
sille joka pystyttää seinät
järjestyksensä kulisseiksi
ympärillä maailma heilui
isänsä lihariipuksena
piirtäen rajatun luomisen kehää
suunnan ja aikeen lavasteena
muista virtaaja
että on loputon
aina toisaalla

as a jewel of meat in its creator's chain
drawing a circle of limited hold
to stage direction and divine will
remember

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names.
